Oro Saiwa Classico is one of Italy’s most iconic breakfast biscuits — a timeless classic with a story that began in 1900 in a small pastry shop on via Galata in Genoa. Baker Pietro Marchese amazed his customers with a delicate, golden biscuit he had discovered during his travels abroad, and over a century later, Oro Saiwa remains a firm favourite of Italians around the world.

Light, crisp, and subtly sweet, these golden biscuits are perfect for dunking in a morning cappuccino or warm milk. Their famous slogan — “Very fragrant, because packaged hot” — speaks to the care taken to seal in their freshly baked aroma. Still produced in the historic factory in Capriata d’Orba, every biscuit carries over 120 years of Italian baking tradition.
